He’s just called “Flapjack” cause he’s super happy and bouncy all the time! ^—-^ It’s just a large nickname and what he’s been recognized as over the years, plus its easier to find under tags than “flapjack” cause there are so many posts about the cartoon :o 

most people call him flapjack, flappy, or plain ol’ nate! It’s not lame! You’re lame!
